| I heard the same thing from a couple of guys at a car wash here in the Bluff tonight. Said they caught snapper, but no blue water out to 50 miles. I suspect it's from the flood waters coming out of the Rio Grande and currents pulling it up this way. Anybody else think so? |

Sounds like a plausible explanation. I went out of Freeport last weekend and we found some blue water around 45 miles out. We went 60 or so miles and tried to catch red snapper on the rocks, but only managed a couple of vermillions. We got into the chicken dolphin around the weed lines and I got a nice ling and saw a 7-8 foot scalloped hammer cruising the weed. Interesting this year, we have oil to the North and hurricane flood waters coming from the South. Seems like last time this happened, we had tons of bamboo-like reeds floating up on PINS. This might be a tough fall.

| Green water was all the way out to the hill tops and east breaks when the poco fisherman were out. |

Ditto... Went out Sat to 300 Fathom Hump, Dutra and Valley Gulch no blue water and no flying fish. Also picked up some snapper on the way in though. I heard the blue water was past 95 miles. _________________ William |
