|

I am back in town for a few months, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for fishing spots(piers/jetties) in the winter months. Back in the day, I'd just hit up Oso Pier after the cold fronts.
I was thinking of trying out the Packery Channel Jetties in the AM tomorrow. Any advice is appreciated. |

Chunk bait in there long enough & youll hook-up. recomend the south jetty(gulf side) between 2nd & 3rd bar. _________________ -STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS!-

Winter fishing try the marker 37 pier at night with live shrimp on alamida float, D.OA'S, WHITE OR GLOW WORMS.Heard THEY WERE catching trout there at night. Bob hall pier, or south packery jetty are other choices.

Checked on weather forecast and its going to be a great day to go fishing on south packery jetty, winds are going to die down. If you want some excitement with some spanish macs, jacks, or even kings,Try the end.If water is clear net some finger mullet, and cast a free lined mullet on a thin wire leader or thick mono shock leader with no weight just the hook.Or try a silver spoon or mannolure. good luck! | True Ironman, but I would imagine that finding enough water on the flats will be the biggest issue after this front. Lots of spots will probably be high-n-dry right now. |
