Just a friendly reminder if we are using the "private property" road please pack your trash, do not park on the road, and do not block the yellow gate in the back or go past it. I was told awhile back by a supervisor there in a polite way. To abide by the following (see above) if not the gate was going to be locked on FM 361.
Sunday there were 3 trucks parked on the road itself. Just passing it along. thx Cool

Right!

Be respectful so we don't loose another access area.

Come on guys, I pickup trash everytime I launch and it just seems to get worse by the day...

It only takes a few minutes to make a huge difference.

The water was so high on Saturday you had to park right off the road. I hope they will give a little leighway when the water is this high. I did see a couple of trucks down by the first wells just parked on the road. Hope they don't keep parking there. My 2 cents.

it's the gate just before Wilson's Cut launch ramp, if you are coming from the Corpus side....there is a big electrical grid cage next to it.

i know...we use to know the previous owners of the terminal and the guy working back there, but times have changed...i remember pulling up to that second yellow gate and opening it up with a key then driving through after we locked it, people make the funniest faces. Laughing

but yes, we just need to watch the trash and the parking and we'll be fine. Cool

I used to have duck blinds back there and hunt it all the time with no issue. It's all about doing the right thing and unfortunately it only takes a couple of bad apples to screw it up for all of us.

i wish whoever had the duck blind in that back flat right next to the crash channel would put it back up or remove the 4x4's that are left....i use to rest my fanny on that blind while fishing that little hole! Razz

I'd say if the water is high enough that you have to park on the road, it might be time to find another spot until the water goes down. I'd hate to lose access to that launch site.

I was there most of the day Sunday and saw only one truck with it's wheels in the road (100 yards or so before the gate). Several were parked off the dirt, but parallel. It seems that there's always trash left by some jerks there. However, on Sunday, there was almost no trash there. I picked up a couple items off the sand, so some of you folks before me must have come in and done a good job. Thanks, it seems the yakkers are having a positive impact on that aspect anyway. I agree we better keep it clean and stay out of the way, or it'll be gone soon.

WEELLLLLLLLLLLLL............ If you say so Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Seriously, maybe we ALL need to get together and have a clean up of launch sites in that area. I went with Jerry, Austin and a guy we had in from out of town to Kate's to show him where we kayak and while Jerry and him talked Austin and myself picked up some trash there with some trash bags we keep in the truck.

Name the ramp and I'll be there Russ!

I keep glad bags on my boat and always hall trash where ever I go.

I can't beleive after all the threads about who leaves what behind that anyone would still be making comments.

And by the way! no power boater left the trash on the road near the gate.
