FISH HARD!!!

Got the call yesterday. My dad at 68 years old was just hospitalized due to incredible pain, so much so that he couldn't walk or even sleep at night. I'm waiting on the call from the Oncologist, but from his surgeon he has bone cancer, thought to have spread from lung cancer. They are running more tests to confirm which will dictate treatment protocols.

I post this only to remind my fishing brethren that our time on this planet is short. You have to make the best of it, even if it means making decisions that run counter to 'conventional wisdom'.

I've now changed back to my original signature.

Whether its at the jetties, surf, offshore, deadsticking my dock, or sightcasting in baffin. . . lets do it. Smile

My f.i.l. loves to golf so he tells his wife he has to go golfing because he might not be here tomorrow and he's 77, I tried it on my wife and she doesn't work. Tomorrow may not come so do it now.

I was thinking about what Clint Eastwood or John Wayne would say but you said it best.

And this is no movie. It is real life.

Strength for you and yours is what my prayer said.
I will follow your advice weekend after next and report back.

Just had a very serious scare with wife's health. It's not over yet but the worst case isn't there. So don't put off till tomorrow what you can do today. Tomorrow may not be there. Enjoy life everyday.

Well said my friend and know that my prayers are with you and your family in this time of need, I have been thru major issues with my dad and he passed on last Nov. Give me a call next time you are down and lets catch IMS and Capt'n Mike and slam a few.
