I know that the sargassum, wind and weed pretty much blew things out the past few days but it is article time for the Salty Angler and any reports good or bad would be helpful! Pics needed too!

Thanks!

Nice try! I don't expect to hear much as it was really rough last weekend.

I went out Friday and Saturday and have nothing much to say but holy weeds!!! First and second gut were just full of weeds making it impossible to fish it. I was only a few miles down the beech cause I was out there with my youth group. I did catch a bunch of hard heads but that was it.

Forgot to mention that the park rangers were out in force! They stoped by to warn us about feeding the birds (we weren't. I just started cooking and they were all around us) and talked about all the fines they could give us. They then pulled us over when we took some of the teens up to the showers in the back of a truck and warned us again about all the fines they could give us. They must have drove by about 20 other times over the course of 2 days. It's the most I have talked to and seen them ever.

Thanks Bigbass19, I knew that was probably the result and you just confirmed it.

Diving stinks....

Too much wind, weed, and roaring outgoing tides. Dirty water is all that is pinned up against the beachfront everywhere.

I didn't know you couldn't feed the birds on PINS.

Not much of a report Tyler, but a few whiting and one pompano around the 30's.

was down from Friday night until Monday afternoon... received $75 citation for speeding, 25mph in a 15mph zone at the 9.5mm on a clear beach, not a camp within a mile either direction...

fished mostly at the 42 but fished several spots from there to the jetties on Sunday afternoon... water was cold and off color and full of hardhead... for some reason we couldn't catch a whiting to save our lives... one 4' blacktip on cut hardhead and one gafftop... driving excellent on low tides south of the 30 but coming back north on Monday evening the amount of fresh sargassum made for bumpy ride from the 30 north... water began looking very pretty from the 25mm north on Monday but the amount of fresh weed was unfishable
