I'm predicting something much more widespread before it's over - like LA, MS, AL and FL. Let's take another look in just one month.

Lets take a look at a hurricane coming in around lake Charles to Galveston and see where that oil ends up after the counter rotation of the hurricane making the currants run south i would think it would end up in south Texas PINS just a guess on my 2!!!!!!

I'm originally from New Orleans, and moved to Rockport, because I love...no, I LIVE to fish.

I'm getting ready to go fish a kayak fishing tournament in Fourchon/Grand Isle/Leeville, and we're all wondering if this is going to be our last hurrah for a while in Louisiana.

I have friends that work for boat dealers, repair shops, etc., and they're all being told that they're going to be laid off in about 3 weeks (essentially when they run out of existing work, that's it).

The commercial fishing industry is pretty much destroyed right now, and that's going to trickle down to the restaraunt, service, and tourist industry.

I'm hoping for a miracle right now.

If the whole Gulf is ruined...I don't know what I'll do...it might be the first time I contemplate leaving the country to go someplace else...because for me, a world without fishing, is not a world worth living in.

Heard a news report today that the oil is coming out at a rate of 2-1/2 gallons a second. Do some quick math. They better get their hands around the situation pretty fast.
