10 reds, 1 Spec, and 1 Drum. Free Lining on Mullet.
We had to let several go because there was only two of us.

I see 7 redfish for sure on the stringer. One fish may be a drum, but looks like the 8th red to me. You said there was only two of you, so whether it's 7 or 8, you were over the limit.

Lol! There is a spec in the mix and I had them on a stringer for pic purposes. I'm not that crazy. We released several more after that.
A guy we met stopped by and said if we came in at 2am we could keep 6 each but I was not going to risk something I was not certain about ;p

9 fish total
1 spec
7 reds
1 questionable (looks like red to me)

Are you saying you kept fish on the stringer simply for a picture and then turned 1 (or 2) loose? Even if that was the case, you were still in violation for having more than the daily bag in your possession. Even if you stayed until 2 am you could not have kept more than three redfish b/c you caught them all in the same day. Three fish per day per angler. Possession limit is twice the daily bag but only if you caught the limits on different days. This is my interpretation of the law. Some one please correct me if I'm wrong.

The key term is "in possession". Intent....not so much.

Are these redfish like crabs? We use to put crab to sleep by rubbing their bellies. Laughing Laughing

I don't see the point in arguing legality when anyone with half a brain knows what is really going on...

You are lucky the person that stopped was not a game warden. If he was you would be complaining today about the “unfair” ticket you received. Keeping those “over the limit” fish for a picture would not get you out of a ticket. Hopefully you were so excited from the catching that you had a momentary mental lapse and this was the first and last time this happens. If I were you I would delete this post and consider it water under the bridge.

Also might want to remove the picture that shows your vessel's TX number.

Geese Louise!!!
We are not that crazy Laughing

Deleted Pics in an effort to stop all the nonsense. I was trying to post a fishing report informing everyone how well the fish had moved into the Humble Channel. Instead I got blasted for it.

Fish On! Razz
