nope this ones a true story. I was camped out at in the 30's monday night when a friend of mine went to meet me tuesday mornin and said there was a body about a mile or so north of me. It was old and fallin apart. luckly at about the 33 we were able to get a cell signal and get a hold of someone. An older couple also drove down further to try to make a call. It was pretty wicked seein a body like that on the beach.

As for the fishin lots of reds but also lots of seaweed comin in.

No BS here man. Why would someone or myself joke about that. We hung around for a bit till the park ranger showed up and a couple other authorities. Body had no ID just some cash according to the ranger.

A lot of things happen down there that don't make the news. We only hear about it when someone like slimfishin happens to be on the scene and posts up about it.

Not so strange really. Illegal alien more than likely. Many die throughout the year from heat related illness. This is my guess rather than foul play.

No news story, but if it was a turtle it could make national news.

Body Found Along National Seashore
By Bart Bedsole

Posted: Apr 1, 2010 8:47 PM

KENEDY COUNTY - Authorities are working to identify a body that washed up along the Padre Island National Seashore earlier this week.

A Texas A&M Corpus Christi professor says on Tuesday, one of his graduate students and her boyfriend were fishing along the National Seashore in Kenedy County when a badly decomposed body came ashore.

They were unable to tell if it was that of a man or a woman, but said a significant amount of flesh was missing from the legs.

A park ranger late Thursday confirmed that a body was found this week, but said it has not yet been identified.
