| ok now we already have about 50 rods and reels but for some reason hubby now wants one stout enough for kingfish. dont ask me why one of the other ones wont do . he also just went and got another new reel says this one for the specs. he is thinking about one that is about 8 ffet and an one piece. any suggestions and where . we are in the houston area. also we usually pier fish and have seen that bob hall does have some kingfish around. i use one pole and one rod everytime i go dont know why he cant. thanks for the help and when will it be a good time to come back to either bob hall or caldwell pier . since he has retired we have plenty of time to fish problem is weather isnt co-operating. he is so antsy now and driving me nuts never knew he could talk so much and he says i am the motormouth in family |

I don't know what kind of rod would be best your his purpose. Some of the other folks on here would be much more informed then myself.
However, I do have a thought and hope you don't take this the wrong way. When I want a new item, be it a gun, rod and reel or some other item that my wife does not understand. I just ask her why she needs so many shoes of different colors and styles. Makes since to me anyway. _________________ Diplomacy is the art of saying "Nice doggie" until you can find a rock.

Funny thing about men when it comes to rods, (and knives for that matter). You can never have too many. _________________

Too Funny Really on your toes today (although you missed the "rod" lob over the net). I stand corrected. _________________

Was watching Versus channel last Friday night (fishing shows) and saw one of the anglers using a billystix. I didn't see Billystix Custom Rods get any product recognition though.
