I get my milk crates the same place I get my five gallon buckets - PINS.
Also, in the event you have only one leg or there is some other reason why matching footwear is a non-issue for you, there are chingos of flipflops to be had. |

had big ones at office depot, not quite as sturdy, but cheap and strong enough to get the job done. _________________ ...if my boss ever finds this forum I'll be unemployed... |

I have an extra milkcrate if you need one. This is how I set my crate with rod holders. You can do it this way are with some pvc pipe. Good luck bud and let me know if you wanna head out on the yaks.

Another way to do it....
I need to take pics of the new one, I put 1" PVC pipe in the front corners for rod/gear holders. _________________ What's good for me ain't necessarily good for the weak minded.... |

Get 2 when you "find" them, take one and cut it off about 2" from the bottom.
Take the one you have cut down, place it on top of the other one.
Put on a couple of zip ties on one side for a hinge and presto you have a crate w/ lid which has a tray on top!
Use small bungie to keep lid closed when you turtle.
3700 size boxes fit perfectly in there. |

cuz dave, i actually read about that idea a few days ago online. Its pretty slick, especially because the crates are designed to fit togother, so the lid is snug. thanks for the ideas everyone. the maiden voyage is in an hour. _________________ ...if my boss ever finds this forum I'll be unemployed... |

| Of Course if your really cheap (like me) and adverse to theft (karma knows), driving along I-37,35, or 10 will usually net you some good booty! I'm a bit of a road pirate and the picking have been good since I moved to TX. Several life jackets, noodles, bungee cords, anchor, fishing pole, bait bucket, and more gas cans than I can count. Happy hunting. Arrrrgh. |

You dont need a crate.....having a crate back there actually will catch a lot of wind, and you know how windy it can be in Corpus.... I personally used 2 Scotty rod holders on both sides of the tank well and one up front....there is already a tankwell back there why would you want to put a box behind you....just doesnt make sense to me....just my .02
