I explored some new areas and drifted a lot of grassy flats. Saw one sting ray over by the power lines near the bird sanctuary islands.
Ended up at the Humble channel with a cold northeast wind blowing. I had a pin perch that had been sitting in my boat for 3 days now. I cut it up and caught a lot sand trout in the channel.
I used one sand trout for more cut bait. I kept 10 big sand trout. Ate some spicy blackened fillets for dinner. |

I burned the area north of the power lines down to the duck blinds. Explored the back end lake there. From there i drifted and burned down to the power lines, where i slowed my drift.
Nada anywhere back there today. I found some murky water in places. I tacked my boat with the outboard through the crash channel all the way to the humble channel. Nada.
I anchored up within casting range of the channel and had some cold fun then. |
