As a result of somebody's equipment getting stolen, somebody posted on this site that Academy had the Shimano Stradics on sale for $99. I checked in CC and in Austin. Neither one has them on sale and neither one has had them on sale in the last week either. Does anyone know if and where they are on sale? _________________ HighTide

I just picked one up at the one in San Antonio on 410. They had one 3000 left and a bunch of the 2500's _________________ Good things come to those who Bait! |

| There is 4 reels in Cedar Park in North Austin. I checked on them as well, but didn't want the 2500's. |

thats the best one! Iv caught fish up to 20 lbs with a 2500 . Including dolphin , bonita, black fin tuna and reds and trout of course. just load em up with some braid and they rock! |

Tell them Robul. Same set up I use, Stradic 2500's with braid are very tough. _________________ Capt. Ross L. McElwee

2500 will work just fine ... caught a 36 in red the other day with no problems i dont put braid but still had more than enough line while fighting the fish... the reason to get the 2500 vs the 3000 or 4000 is what kind of fishing do you do ... do you throw plastics more or bottom fish ...
if you throw plastics you want the smaller reel so you dont have to be casting with a heavier rig... you get where im goin ... when u cast 300 times in a trip with a 1 lb rig its different than casting 300 times with a 2 lb rig...weights listed are examples but u get my point... _________________ DONT MESS WITH TEXAS AND YOU WILL CATCH MORE FISH!!! |
