Those are great pics. I would think the Rio Grande opened the earth up rather than vice versa, but I'm no geologist. Still awe inspiring any way you wanna look at it.

I saw some large mats of tar up in the dunes unfortunately. Upwelling is definitely down south near the jetties as of last week.
