I have gone to using Crocs for all my saltwater needs.
Everything else that I have had, including keens have come apart with extended saltwater use. Seems like anything with glue just comes apart ... |

I have always used uni to uni and never had a problem, but then again I use 60# mono for a shock leader. My only concerns with braid is its abrasion resistance on the sand bars.
